So What Exactly Are You Looking At Here?
Well, what you are seeing is a single photo of a couple in their bakery.
The photo has been digitally manipulated using very special software with their faces
being animated to allow the viewer to see it as a video on their web browser. In some
instances two photos will be needed. One as the backdrop (store or products), and
one as the subject.
The major benefit to you if you choose to use this technology is now you can have a short animated video made
of your clients, their store or products, without the hassle of using a
video camera and related equipment/personnel.
Let's face it, if you are a small business person the last thing you need
to do is to take time out of your busy schedule, and rearrainge your whole
day, just to shoot a short video for your squeeze page.
And you can bet your bottom dollar your client has a few nice photos of
themselves and/or their business that would make the perfect photo for this
application.
So What Exactly Are The Requirements For The Photo?
It's real simple...the photo just needs to be a reasonably straight on shot
of your clients so that their face(s) is presented well to the veiwer. You
could take the photo yourself if you have a digital camera. Obviously, the
nicer the photo, the better the animated version will come out.
If the subject has reasonably closed lips and opened eyes in the photo, that's a good thing,
as well. Keep in mind the original photo can be "Photoshopped" to accommodate
the project. This means the size, color, contrast, and imperfections can be massaged.
Who Writes The Script For The Video?
Well, that depends on what you or your client want to say. If they have
certain details they want to express, they can use their own words. One thing
you want to watch out for is that the message is centered around the reader filling
in the squeeze box.
Other than that, keeping the message to around a minute in length keeps the cost
down as well as keeping the viewers' attention.
The voice used can be the clients', or a voice over actor, or even 'text-to-speach'.
It all depends on the quality you're looking for and the budget allotted for the video.
So there you have it...
One or two photos, a short script, and presto!
